As a young man, I remember church as being the most pretentious, phoniest hour of the week. A time where people tucked away their humanness as best they could (much like a long haired girl tucks her hair under a hat) and off to church we would go. No one had any real problems. Church was about looking good, punching the God card and fulfilling your weekly obligation. Through all of this experience I had no real relationship with God. I had no passion for my creator and little purpose for life outside of my own selfish needs. When I had a real life changing encounter with God, it started because my life was not working: It was a train wreck. I came to a crossroad ...
